Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): Try diving for non-certified divers

Ever dreamed of being an underwater explorer? Here is your opportunity to breathe underwater and experience the ocean like never before. Camp Emerald Bay is offering a once in a lifetime experience in our Discover Scuba Diving program, sign up online through Doubleknot or visit the dive locker at camp for availability. The session will last 2 hours in total and could even be done in your free time at camp. The Discover Scuba Diving program includes some small theories on scuba diving, all the gear you need for your dive and a 20-to-30-minute dive at Doctors Cove. A completed PADI RSTC medical form signed by the participant, a parent or guardian and by a physician is required to dive, so be sure to get that done prior to your arrival at camp!

Discover Local Diving (DLD): Guided Dives for certified divers

Already a certified scuba diver? Get in the water at Camp Emerald Bay to dive one of California’s top dive destinations! There are several dive sites we can access right from the shore of camp like Emerald Bay and Doctor’s Cove. As a requirement you will do a “check-out” dive prior to your first guided dive. A “check-out” dive is only required before your first official guided dive and is not required for any additional dives you choose to do afterwards. Enjoy the kelp forests and rocky reefs found at Emerald Bay Camp along with a variety of marine life. A signed medical PADI RSTC by a physician and proof of DAN (Divers Alert Network) diver insurance is required so be sure to get these done prior to your arrival at camp and bring them with you so if you decide at the last minute to dive with us, you are ready to have an amazing experience!
